Oscar-winning Iranian director appears at 2022 Cannes

Oscar-winning Iranian director makes his debut as a jury member of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

Farhadi appeared Monday evening at the Martinez hotel, taking photos with other members of the Cannes 2022 jury, including Ladj Ly, Vincent Lindon and Jeff Nichols.

The two-time Oscar winner for ‘The Salesman’ and ‘A Separation’ who is a member of the 75th Cannes Film Festival jury, led by actor Lindon, arrived Monday in the French Riviera town ahead of the opening festivities.

The Festival de Cannes is one of the world’s most prestigious film gatherings as well as being a widely publicized cultural event.

The 75th edition of the Festival de Cannes is set to be held on May 17-28, 2022.
